No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Transportation Code §391.038 to specify that the height of a commercial sign is limited to 60 feet, except that a sign existing on and erected before March 1, 2017, may not more than 85 feet.

Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed implementation of the bill would not result in a significant operational or fiscal impact to the agency or the State.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
