No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to require all state agencies and universities that receive federal funds for flood research, planning, or mitigation projects to report quarterly to the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) on the total funds received, the amount expended to date, and the eligibility requirements for receiving the funds. TWDB would be required to make this information publicly accessible online. Based on the analysis of TWDB and on information provided by various agencies that would likely need to submit information, it is assumed that the bill could be implemented using existing resources.
