No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 2269 of the Government Code, regarding governmental construction projects. The bill would require construction managers-at-risk to utilize invitation to bid or competitive sealed proposal methodology prescribed in Chapter 2269 when bidding out subcontracted work. Additionally, the bill would require that pricing be a selection criterion that accounts for weighted value at least 40 percent of the total selection criteria.

The Facilities Commission, General Land Office and Veterans' Land Board, Military Department, Texas Education Agency, and Parks and Wildlife Department indicate there would be no significant fiscal impact.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
