LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 86TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION
Revision 1

April 24, 2019

TO:
Honorable Bryan Hughes, Chair, Senate Committee on Administration

FROM:
John McGeady, Assistant Director     Sarah Keyton, Assistant Director
Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB907 by Hughes (relating to the preservation, maintenance, and improvement of the Republic of Texas Granite Boundary Marker.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Historical Commission is required to implement a provision of this Act only if the legislature appropriates money specifically for that purpose. If the legislature does not appropriate money specifically for that purpose, the Historical Commission may, but is not required to, implement a provision of this Act using other appropriations available for that purpose.

The Historical Commission estimates there would be a cost associated with the preservation of the Republic of Texas Granite Boundary Marker. This analysis assumes the cost could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
