The bill would require the legislature to establish a joint interim committee to study the feasibility and desirability of converting quarries and surface mine pits for use a water storage reservoirs to enhance the state's available water supply. The committee would be required to report to the Governor and legislature its findings and any recommendations no later than December 1, 2020.
