IN RE:
SB1041 by Taylor (Relating to the deadline by which the Texas Water Development Board is required to identify and designate brackish groundwater production zones for certain areas of the state.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would extend the deadline for the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) to identify and designate brackish groundwater production zones in Texas aquifers from December 1, 2022, to December 1, 2032. Based on the analysis of the TWDB, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill could be implemented with existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
