No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to modify the calculation used for compensation to be paid to an emergency services district for a municipality's annexation of the district's territory.

Local Government Impact

According to Texas Municipal League, the fiscal impact of the bill cannot be determined but the impact would be greater in municipalities that collect substantial sales tax.
