No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to collaborate with the Health and Human Services Commission to prepare and submit a report to the legislature on the prevalence of eating disorders and eating disorder-related deaths before December 1, 2020.
The bill would require DSHS to prepare and submit a report to the legislature on the prevalence of eating disorders among youth in the state. The bill would allow DSHS to accept gifts, grants, and donations from any source to fund expenses incurred from preparing the report.
The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill can be implemented using existing resources.
