SB1283 by Miles (Relating to the availability under Medicaid of certain drugs used to treat human immunodeficiency virus or prevent acquired immune deficiency syndrome.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), or managed care organizations, from requiring certain actions in Medicaid related to dispensing of antiretroviral drugs. According to HHSC, there would be no fiscal impact associated with implementation of the provisions of the bill as they do not differ from current policy.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
