IN RE:
SB1311 by Bettencourt (Relating to the electronic transmission of an invoice or notice of toll nonpayment by a toll project entity.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Business & Commerce Code and the Transportation Code to authorize the electronic transmission of an invoice or notice of toll nonpayment by a toll project entity.

According to the Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the bill would have no fiscal implication to the State since the agency is already authorized to send invoices through electronic means.

Local Government Impact

According to TxDOT, the ability to send all toll invoices and notices could result in some cost savings to the various toll operations systems and could create additional customer convenience.

According to the North Texas Tollway Authority, the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact on the authority.
