No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to specify certain procedures for the release of certain extraterritorial jurisdictions (ETJ) by a municipality, specify actions former areas in an ETJ may take upon release, and creates a process for disannexation for certain real estate subdivisions.

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to cities.
