SB1370 by Nichols (Relating to invoices and payments under certain state contracts for outside legal services.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code Chapter 402 relating to attorney general review of outside legal services contracts. Specifically, the bill would add a timeline for agencies to submit invoices to the attorney general for review and add language requiring the attorney general to determine whether the legal services within the invoice are within the terms and scope of the legal services authorized by the contract.

Based on the information and analysis provided by the Office of the Attorney General, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
