SB1414 by Hancock (Relating to fees regarding a residential tenant's failure to timely pay rent.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Property Code to modify the late fees that a landlord may charge a residential tenant due to timely failure to pay rent.  The bill would also establish a cap on these fees for dwellings located in a building that contains five or more dwelling units.
