No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 2301 of the Occupations Code to allow a motor vehicle manufacturer or distributor of one type of vehicle to own an interest in, operate, control, or act in the capacity of a motor vehicle franchised dealer or a dealership of other types of vehicles.

Based on the information provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles, it is assumed implementation of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the agency or the State.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
