Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education
FROM:
John McGeady, Assistant Director Sarah Keyton, Assistant Director Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB1453 by Taylor (Relating to the use of calculator applications in place of graphing calculators in public schools.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to the use of calculator applications in place of graphing calculators in public schools could be absorbed using existing resources. TEA is required to implement a provision of this Act only if the legislature appropriates money specifically for that purpose. If the legislature does not appropriate money specifically for that purpose, TEA may, but is not required to, implement a provision of this Act using other appropriations available for that purpose.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
