No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to revise the form for medical authorization required to release protected health information in a health care liability claim.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2019.
