No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code and the Local Government Code to provide governmental immunity to a certain local governments for a cause of action arising from a disaster recovery contract following the declaration of a disaster.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to cities.
