SB1679 by West (Relating to eligibility of certain children for free prekindergarten programs in public schools.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a child who is eligible for enrollment in a prekindergarten class at the age of three to remain eligible for enrollment at the age of four.

Based on information provided by the Texas Education Agency, the fiscal implications of implementing the provisions of the legislation are not anticipated to be significant.
