SB1700 by Whitmire (relating to the discharge of a prisoner from a county jail.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to modify requirements related to times when discharge of prisoners from county jails is authorized by requiring discharges before 5 PM except under certain circumstances.  The Commission on Jail Standards (CJS) is authorized to monitor compliance with these discharges.

According to CJS, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

According to CJS, no fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
