IN RE:
SB1732 by Paxton (Relating to a requirement that certain water districts make audio and video recordings of open meetings available on the Internet.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to add certain water districts to an existing requirement that certain local entities make audio and video recordings of open meetings available on the Internet.
Local Government Impact
According to the Northeast Texas Water District (NETMWD), compliance with the video provisions of the bill could be achieved using existing personnel and $10,000 in likely equipment costs. The district already has the capacity to make audio recordings. According to NETMWD, there would likely be no fiscal impact to smaller systems.
