No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 660 of the Government Code to allow funds appropriated for the education of university students at the Laredo Regional Campus of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to be used to pay for educational program costs for students attending the Laredo Regional Campus and receiving clinical training in Webb County and the surrounding communities, including ground or air transportation, lodging, meals, training costs, and related expenses.
The bill would result in no significant fiscal implication to the state, based on information provided by the Higher Education Coordinating Board and The University of Texas System.
