IN RE:
SB1913 by Johnson (relating to authorizing certain cities to change the date on which their general election for officers is held.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to authorize certain municipalities to move their elections from May to November.

According to the Secretary of State (SOS), the bill would have no significant state fiscal impact. The office would update advisory materials and certification procedures within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

SOS is unable to determine the fiscal impact, if any, that the implementation of this bill could have on local governments. However, there could be a local impact on cities based on the cost of moving their elections to November.
