SB2129 by Creighton (Relating to advance directives and health care and treatment decisions.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to address disagreements regarding a patient's advance directive or decision by or on behalf of a patient directing life-sustaining treatment. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, the Texas Medical Board, and the Health and Human Services Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
