IN RE:
SB2317 by Campbell (Relating to the liability for unpaid tuition and fees at a public institution of higher education due to a misclassification of certain military personnel and their dependents.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill relates to the liability for unpaid tuition and fees at a public institution of higher education due to a misclassification of certain military personnel and their dependents. Under provisions of the bill, the Texas Veteran's Commission shall periodically audit applications submitted by persons seeking an exemption from tuition, fees, and other required charges to verify qualifications for the exemption. This analysis assumes that any costs for the Texas Veteran's Commission and institutions of higher education to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
