No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would establish the joint Medicaid Waiver Renewal Legislative Oversight Committee, comprised of certain members of the Senate and House of Representatives, to oversee and advise the Health and Human Services Commission with regard to its negotiations with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to renew the Section 1115 waiver.
The committee would be abolished on September 1, 2023.
It is assumed that implementing the provisions of this bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
