The provisions of the bill addressed by this analysis would amend Code of Criminal Procedure such that the charging instrument in the prosecution of the offense of resisting arrest must state the underlying offense for which the person was resisting arrest.
This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources
