FROM:

Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1377 by Dutton (Relating to the creation of a commission to review certain laws of this state that restrict the rights or activities of persons convicted of a felony offense and to make certain recommendations regarding those laws.), As Introduced

The provisions of the bill addressed by this analysis would create a commission to review certain laws of this state that restrict the rights or activities of persons convicted of a felony offense and make recommendations regarding those laws.

The bill does not expressly create a criminal offense, increase the punishment for an existing criminal offense or category of offenses, or change the eligibility of a person for community supervision, parole, or mandatory supervision. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or the demand for state correctional resources.
