IN RE: | HB1653 by White (Relating to certain criminal justice reforms, including measures related to reentry and reintegration of state jail felony defendants and pretrial intervention programs that provide an alternative to incarceration.), As Introduced |
The provisions of the bill addressed by this analysis would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure and Government Code as they relate to reentry and reintegration of state jail felony defendants and pretrial intervention programs that provide an alternative to incarceration.
The bill does not expressly create a criminal offense, increase the punishment for an existing criminal offense or category of offenses, or change the eligibility of a person for community supervision, parole, or mandatory supervision. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
