IN RE: | HB2342 by Dutton (Relating to the places where certain knives are prohibited.), As Introduced |
The provisions of the bill addressed by this analysis would amend the Penal Code as it relates to prohibitions against certain knives on certain premises. Under the provisions of the bill, the carry of such knives would no longer be prohibited on certain premises.
A Class C misdemeanor is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500 (up to 180 days deferred disposition and no confinement). This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.
