FROM:

Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3529 by Gutierrez (relating to the creation of a family violence pretrial diversion pilot program in Bexar County.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

The provisions of the bill that would amend the Government Code as it relates to the creation of a family violence pretrial diversion pilot program are the subject of this analysis. Under the provisions of the bill, a family violence pretrial diversion pilot program for certain individuals would be established according to the specifications in the bill.

This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources. The bill does not expressly create a criminal offense, increase the punishment for an existing criminal offense or category of offenses, or change the eligibility of a person for community supervision, parole, or mandatory supervision.
