IN RE:
HB3534 by Shine (Relating to the disclosure to a law enforcement agency of confidential information relating to a complaint filed with the Texas Ethics Commission; creating a criminal offense.), As Introduced

The provisions of the bill addressed by this analysis would amend the Government Code to create a criminal offense for disclosing certain confidential information related to a complaint filed with the Texas Ethics Commission. Under the provisions of the bill, this offense would be punishable as a Class C misdemeanor.

A Class C misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of not to exceed $500.  This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on the demand for state correctional resources.
