Pursuant to a notice posted on February 20, 2019, the House Committee on International Relations & Economic Development met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Anchia, at 10:00 a.m.

After a discussion between the chair and the witness Charon Medina, the chair confirmed that Ms. Medina had inadvertently misspelled her first name as “Caharon” on the electronic witness affirmation form; and that the proper spelling is “Charon”, as is reflected on the Translator Identification Form. Ms. Medina authorized the chair to make the necessary correction; however, the electronic witness affirmation system required for use in committee proceedings does not currently have this capability available to either witnesses or the committee.
