Pursuant to a notice posted on December 10, 2019, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 11:10 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives King, Phil; Turner, Chris; Larson; Minjarez; Moody; Price; Rose; Walle; and White.

A quorum was present.

The committee met at El Paso Community College, Administrative Services Center, A Building located at 9050 Viscount Blvd., El Paso, TX 79925.

Representative González, Mary, Representative Blanco, Representative Ortega, Representative Fierro were also in attendance.

Interim Field Hearing on 2021 Redistricting

The committee heard invited testimony and received a presentation from the Texas State Demographer and Texas Legislative Council.

At 2:02 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
