Pursuant to a notice posted on January 31, 2019, the House Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative White, at 1:05 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives White; Allen; Bailes; Bowers; Dean; Neave; Sherman, Sr.; and Stephenson.

A quorum was present.

The Committee met to hear invited testimony on the Corrections system in Texas.

At 5:29 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
