Pursuant to a notice posted on December 13, 2019, the House Committee on General Investigating met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Meyer, at 10:08 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Meyer; Collier; Krause; Noble; and Pacheco.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

 

Chairman Meyer made opening remarks.

 

 

Without objection, the committee entered into executive session under Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code, and the Rules of the House of Representatives.

 

 

The committee exited the executive session. No decisions were made or voted on during the executive session.

 

 

Chairman Meyer moved that the committee adopt the report of the committee’s bipartisan panel of legal experts as the committee’s final report concerning the investigation into the facts and circumstances of the June 12, 2019 meeting between Michael Quinn Sullivan and Representatives Dennis Bonnen and Dustin Burrows and direct the committee’s counsel to promptly transmit the report to each Member of the House of Representatives under Section 301.020, Government Code.

 

 

Vice Chair Collier seconded the motion.

 

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Meyer; Collier; Krause; Noble; Pacheco (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        None (0).
