Pursuant to a notice posted on November 17, 2020, the House Committee on General Investigating met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Meyer, at 10:21 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows:

 

Present: Representatives Meyer; Collier; Krause; and Noble.

 

Absent, Excused: Representative Pacheco.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

 

Without objection, Representative Pacheco was excused from today’s meeting due to COVID restrictions on his travel.

 

The Chairman made opening remarks.

 

Without objection, the committee entered into executive session under Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code, and the Rules of the House of Representatives.

 

The committee exited the executive session. No decisions were made or voted on during the executive session.

 

The Chairman moved that the committee enter its determination on the pending Rule 15 complaint under Rule 9(b)(2) of the Committee’s Rules.

 

Representative Noble seconded the motion.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Meyer; Collier; Krause; Noble (4).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent, Excused:        Representative Pacheco (1).

 

Absent:                        None (0)

 

 

 

The Chairman made closing remarks.

 

There being no further business, at 11:12 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
