Pursuant to a notice posted on February 15, 2019, the House Committee on Public Health met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Thompson, Senfronia, at 2:00 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Thompson, Senfronia; Wray; Allison; Coleman; Frank; Guerra; Ortega; Price; and Sheffield.

A quorum was present.

The chair reminded everyone that by filling out and submitting the witness affirmation form they have agreed to give their testimony under oath.

The chair recognized Rep. Garnet Coleman as the longest serving member on the Public Health Committee. Rep. Coleman has been a member of the committee since 1993.

The chair recognized the other members of the committee and introduced committee staff.
