Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13, 2019, and a subsequent suspension of the rules confirming the announcement on May 14, 2019, and permission granted on May 13, 2019, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Nevárez, at 3:14 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Nevárez; Paul; Burns; Calanni; Goodwin; Israel; Lang; and Tinderholt.
