Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 16, 2019, and permission granted on May 16, 2019, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Button, at 3:34 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Button; Shaheen; González, Jessica; Goodwin; Morales; Patterson; and Swanson.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 542 as pending business.

Representative Goodwin moved that SB 542, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Button; Shaheen; González, Jessica; Goodwin; Morales; Swanson (6).

Nays:                           Representative Patterson (1).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Johnson, Eric; Middleton (2).

The chair laid out SB 1913.

The chair explained SB 1913.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative González, Jessica moved that SB 1913, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Button; González, Jessica; Goodwin; Middleton; Morales; Patterson (6).

Nays:                           Representatives Shaheen; Swanson (2).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representative Johnson, Eric (1).

At 3:38 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
