The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
The chair laid out HB 81 as a matter of pending business. Senator Nichols moved that HB 81 be reported back to the full senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Nichols moved that HB 81 be recommended for the Local and Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered.
The chair laid out SB 985, as a matter of pending business by Senator Kolkhorst. Senator Nichols moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Nichols moved that SB 985 do not pass but that the committee substitute to SB 985 do pass and be recommended to the full senate. The motion carried with a record vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Nichols moved that CSSB 985 be recommended for the Local and Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Nichols moves adoption of the Amendment; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Nichols moves to roll both amendments into a Committee Substitute; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Nichols now moves adoption of the Committee Substitute; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Nichols moved that HB 1442 do not pass but that the Committee Substitute to HB 1442 do pass and be recommended to the full senate. The motion carried with a record vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Hancock moved that the bill be recommended for placement on the Local & Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Hancock resumed the chair.
There being no further business, Senator Hancock moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
