Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Nelson made opening remarks. 

Senator Nelson and Members of the Committee introduced staff.

Senator Hinojosa moved adoption of the committee rules.  There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Invited testimony was heard from the following:

Comptroller Glenn Hegar, Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts, gave a layout of the Biennial Revenue Estimate.

John McGeady, Legislative Budget Board, gave an overview of Legislative Budget Estimates.

Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

There being no further business, at 10:54 AM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
