Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The Chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 1.

Testimony was heard on SB 1 – Article VI. Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

At 10:58 AM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment of the Senate. Without objection, it was so ordered.

At 1:00 PM Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair and the Committee reconvened.

Department of Agriculture

Parks and Wildlife Department

Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

Animal Health Commission

Soil and Water Conservation Board

Water Development Board

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

Commission on Environmental Quality

Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission  

Public testimony was heard.

Senator Hinojosa closed public testimony.

Senator Hinojosa moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 5:31 PM Senator Hinojosa moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
