Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The Chair laid out SB 1 as a matter of pending business.

Public testimony was heard on SB I – Article II. Witnesses testifying and registering are shown on the attached list.

At 9:49 AM Senator Nelson moved that the Committee stand recessed until 1:00 PM. Without objection, it was so ordered.

At 1:02 PM the Committee reconvened.

Invited testimony was presented by the Department of Family and Protective Services

Article II  public testimony continued. 

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

Senator Nelson resumed the chair.

Senator Hinojosa assumed the chair.

Senator Hinojosa closed public testimony.

Senator Hinojosa moved that SB 1 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

There being no further business, at 7:02 PM Senator Hinojosa moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
