Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Nominations was held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:33 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
Senator Seliger moved adoption of the minutes from the previous hearing held on Thursday, May 2, 2019; without objection, it was so ordered.
Vice Chair Watson moved that the committee vote to approve the nominations of the individuals to the following entities: Advisory Committee to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments, Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority, Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority, Gulf Coast Authority Board of Directors, Independent Ombudsman for State Supported Living Centers, Judge of the 18th Judicial District Court – Johnson and Somervell Counties, Risk Management Board, State Pension Review Board, Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Texas Board of Nursing, Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation, Texas Emergency Services Retirement System Board of Trustees, Texas Lottery Commission, Texas Optometry Board, Texas Physician Assistant Board, Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation Board of Directors, Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners, Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners, Texas Woman’s University Board of Regents, and Veterans’ Land Board. The motion carried with a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
There being no further business, at 10:35 a.m., Vice Chair Watson moved that the committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair; without objection, it was so ordered.
