Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in the Senate Chamber.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM. A quorum being established at 8:04am, the following business was transacted:

 

The following members arrived after the roll was called:

Senator Perry, Senator Buckingham, Senator Johnson, Senator Flores, and Senator Campbell.

 

The chair laid out SB 1947 and recognized the author, Senator Watson, to explain the bill.

 

Senator Perry sent up a committee substitute.  The chair recognized Senator Watson to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as filed. 

 

The chair called invited individuals to provide invited testimony on the committee substitute for SB 1947. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

 

Senator Kolkhorst moved that the committee substitute be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

The chair laid out SB 1564 and recognized the author, Senator West, to explain the bill.

 

The chair called invited individuals to provide invited testimony on SB 1564. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.

 

Senator Kolkhorst moved that SB 1564 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

At 8:26 AM Senator Perry assumed the chair.

 

The chair laid out SB 2150 and recognized the author, Senator Kolkhorst, to explain the bill.

 

Senator Kolkhorst sent up a committee substitute.  The chair recognized Senator Kolkhorst to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as filed.

At 9:19 AM Senator Kolkhorst resumed the chair.
