The chair called the meeting to order at 8:32 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
At 8:33 AM Senator Perry assumed the chair.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business SB 23.
Senator Kolkhorst moved that SB 23 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 6 ayes, 2 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent.
At 8:35 AM Senator Kolkhorst resumed the chair.
The chair laid out as a matter of pending business CSSB 952. The chair withdrew the old committee substitute that was laid out during the March 12th hearing.
Senator Perry sent up the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 952 and the chair recognized Senator Watson to explain the new committee substitute.
Senator Perry moved the adoption of the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 952; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Perry moved that SB 952 do not pass but that CSSB 952 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
