Senator Perry sent up the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 1404 and the chair

explained the new committee substitute.

 

Senator Perry moved the adoption of the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 1404; without

objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Perry moved that SB 1404 do not pass but that CSSB 1404 be reported back to the

Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record

vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.

 

The chair laid out as a matter of pending business CSSB 1543.

 

The chair withdrew the old committee substitute that was laid out during the April 23rd hearing.

Senator Perry sent up the new committee substitute for Senate Bill 1543 and the chair

explained the new committee substitute.
