The chair called the meeting to order at 3:58 PM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

The chair laid out SB 942 and recognized the author, Senator Johnson, to explain the bill.

 

Senator Johnson sent up a committee substitute. The chair recognized Senator Johnson to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the senate bill as filed. 

 

Senator Johnson moved that the committee substitute for SB 942 be adopted; without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Witnesses registering on the committee substitute to the bill are shown on the attached list.

 

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Taylor submitted a motion in writing requesting unanimous consent to be shown voting aye on SB 1041; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Kolkhorst moved that SB 1041 be placed on the local and uncontested calendar. Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

As a matter of pending business, the Chair laid out anew the committee substitute for SB 942. Senator Johnson moved that SB 942 do not pass but that CSSB 942 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Taylor submitted a motion in writing requesting unanimous consent to be shown voting aye on CSSB 942; without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Perry moved that SB 872 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Taylor submitted a motion in writing requesting unanimous consent to be shown voting aye on SB 872; without objection, it was so ordered.
