R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Goldfish Swim School in Sugar Land celebrated its
  one-year anniversary in July 2021; and
         WHEREAS, The facility first opened in July 2020 in the midst
  of the COVID-19 pandemic, and over the course of a year, its staff
  has grown from 10 to 45 employees, while its enrollment has
  increased from fewer than 100 to around 1,400 students; the school
  is dedicated to helping children learn an important life skill in a
  caring, secure, and supportive environment; and
         WHEREAS, Goldfish Swim School has been praised for its
  partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, which have earned
  the school a certificate of recognition from U.S. Representative
  Pete Olson; in collaboration with the autism advocacy group Hope
  For Three, the facility provides lessons tailored to children with
  autism and special needs, and its instructors work closely with
  parents to adapt teaching methods for each young client; the school
  also offers free lessons to families receiving services from Child
  Advocates of Fort Bend and the Fort Bend Women's Center; and
         WHEREAS, During its first year, Goldfish Swim School has
  distinguished itself as a valuable resource to many area families,
  and all those involved with the school may take pride in knowing
  that they have made an important contribution to their community;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Goldfish Swim
  School on its one-year anniversary and extend to the facility's
  owners, staff, and students sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Goldfish Swim School as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
