R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The BIZPAC political networking organization has
  greatly benefited from the contributions of many hardworking
  individuals in its efforts to represent the interests of small
  business owners in Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Founded by executive chair Joseph L. Trahan in 2019,
  BIZPAC boasts a membership that includes patent holders,
  innovators, scientific and medical professionals, captains of
  industry, and other leading performers in their fields; as a
  unified voice for like-minded business owners, the group advocates
  for effective public policy to sustain a robust statewide economy;
  and
         WHEREAS, One of Mr. Trahan's key achievements has been the
  establishment of a Young Professionals Association within the
  organization, through which members under the age of 40 are
  provided mentorship on good governance, citizen activism, and civic
  responsibility by seasoned business owners and industry leaders;
  the program has led to several BIZPAC members running for municipal
  and state offices and being appointed to important positions to
  better serve their communities; in addition, Mr. Trahan and his
  fellow members have been active in charitable endeavors, helping
  secure support for wounded veterans and raising scholarship funds
  for graduating high school seniors; and
         WHEREAS, BIZPAC's leadership team also includes Dr. Elias
  Jackson of Vyripharm Biopharmaceuticals, the group's science and
  medical affairs chair; a worldwide patent holder in the
  pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Jackson has served as a resource for
  legislators, legislative staff, and state agencies during the 87th
  Texas Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Another key member of BIZPAC is Mark Goloby, the
  school board and curriculum chair, who has encouraged Texans to be
  actively involved with their local school districts and to be
  better informed about educational issues and school funding
  practices; and
         WHEREAS, Through their dedicated service, Joseph Trahan,
  Dr. Elias Jackson, and Mark Goloby have furthered the worthwhile
  mission of BIZPAC, and their accomplishments are helping to
  maintain the prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby honor BIZPAC and its
  leaders, Joseph L. Trahan, Dr. Elias Jackson, and Mark Goloby, and
  extend to all those associated with the group sincere best wishes
  for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for BIZPAC as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
